The world of marketing isn’t always known to have a good reputation. Here are a few tips to remember when developing your marketing campaign.

  1. BE HONEST– One would think that this is common sense, lets face it marketing hasn’t always had a great reputation for telling the truth. In your marketing campaigns it’s best for you to focus on the positive attributes rather than to exaggerate the truth or lie. Entire companies have been demolished for telling lies.

  2. KNOW YOUR COMPANIES – You can be the most ethical person out there. If the company you are designing a campaign for isn’t you may find you’re doing a lot of damage. There is not much of a point in doing the right thing if the companies you’re doing business with are not.

  3. BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ADVERTISE – It is becoming more important everyday that you keep an eye on the safety of your brand and makes sure where and how you advertise matches the ethical view you want to portray.

  4. ENGAGEMENT – In marketing it is very important that you know your client base. It’s a good idea to have a dialogue with your client to see what they’re looking for from you. This will build a relationship between you and your client.

  5. BE INCLUSIVE – We are lucky now days to live in a world where distance isn’t an issues. We can now work with people from around the world at the push of a button. Now more than ever it is important versatility is in creating a mix of skills that will help people move forward. As an ethical company that you realize the increase in income that comes with diversity. Companies that have a more even mix of male and female employees are more successful than those with only one demographic. Also a strong racial mix can make a business more successful. The more diverse your workforce is the more likely it is that you will appeal to a more diverse market. This will open you up to more opportunities.

  6. BE ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY – Being environmentally friendly can be done in so many ways. More and more companies are realizing that helping the environment can help their public profile.
